The landscapes of Nosy Komba are quite varied. The mountain, whose vegetation is dense and still wild, is snaked by small rivers and waterfalls. It is surrounded by many small beaches lined with rocks.
Depending on their location and age, the beaches have sand of varying colours. Some are light beige, others black.
Although there is no primary forest in Nosy Komba, one can still see majestic hundred-year-old trees, the last witnesses of an almost forgotten past. New forests mingle with plantations.
However, each year, these disappear a little more, privileging the cultures as well as the expansion of the villages. Sheltered from roads and cars, and from the incessant human activity, the fauna and flora, which have become very fragile today, still seem to be preserved.
